#2 Programming Trends

As you know, there are all types of programming trends in the world. From streaming to online or social. One of the most common programming trends is network/cable. network/cable programming has been around for years. Even though it is not as popular today because of streaming and social trends, it still is a vital part to watching TV. 

With watching TV, there are great shows within certain networks that leave you wanting more. Now I will be talking about my top 3 networks to catch my favorite shows. These are the three TV networks that have the most exceptional shows known to date. The first one is CW. CW network programming can pretty much be watched anywhere but mostly on cable. They have a CW app where if you missed your favorite show's episode, you are able to watch a day after it airs. CW network features shows that are based on superheroes and drama.

One of the most popular shows on CW is Riverdale which is a high school drama-mystery that showcases teens maneuvering through high school while other things derail their paths and lead them astray. This show is filled with dark twists and turns that leaves you speechless with every episode. With 4 seasons, Riverdale has packed a big audience with the help of social media. From millions of hashtags following the show, Riverdale has become one of the most influential shows known to date. Here's a link to Riverdale if you like to check it out for jam-packed drama and mystery. Another show that is very successful from the CW is The Flash. The Flash is enjoyed by all ages. From children to young adults follows this show episode by episode. This show is a superhero/adventure that features a character by the name of Barry Allen as he lives a double life as The Flash and your average forensics scientist. Barry Allen faces incredible foes but with the help of his superhero team and lighting fast speed he conquers all. The Flash is actually the number one show on CW bringing in a whopping 1.3 million viewers each week. You can thank the show's ratings for its family-friendly content and adventurous story lines to follow along through the show. CW also includes other infectious shows like Supernatural, All American, Arrow and many more. CW provides you with shows that leave you shook or planning your next Comic-Con visit. Another really important network for programming is ABC.

 

 ABC is widely known for providing melodramatic, medical and comedic shows. Fans really enjoy shows such as The Good Doctor, Grey's Anatomy, The Bachelor, Black-ish and so much more. ABC tries to bring shows that families would enjoy together. Most of the shows include a whole flock of families navigating life. ABC tries to deliver shows that pull at your heartstrings and tearjerkers. ABC network will not disappoint if you are into family-oriented shows or melodramatic scenes. The last network I think that is trending for programming is NBC.

NBC shows feature crime, suspense, and thrillers. These shows include but are not limited to are Chicago MED, Law and Order:SVU, Manifest and Chicago P.D. Most of NBC shows are for an older demographic because kids watching these shows can be a eyesore. NBC has one of the longest-running dramas on air which is Law and Order:SVU. NBC also showcases three installments of Chicago life. They are Chicago Fire, MED and P.D. These shows through the years have had many crossovers to collide within their shows. NBC with their shows provide a lot of shocking factors to leave the viewers guessing till the next episode. Overall, these three networks to me showcases some of the best TV shows known to man.
